About this artwork
I have always been intrigued by points of view. Not only conversationally or in a debate format but the way we physically see things in our world- which I understand is how debate or arguments occur. The physical point of view of a spectator in a crime, football match or road accident could certainly create a situation where the viewer is convinced they are right.
We need to critically think through things and be open to others opinions and points… of view in order to fully grasp any situation.
This work is completed with soft pastel, charcoal and acrylic paint.
It is unstretched, but a stretcher frame can be provided.

Marc Rayner is an Australian artist based in Sweden who has exhibited his works nationally, as well as in Sweden, Monaco, France, Qatar, Italy, India, South Korea, Denmark, and Japan. The key to his artworks is the creation of 'quasi-landscapes' rich in text and design, or flat and almost devoid of information. This 'distorted zone' is a place where Rayner's tormented, disenfranchised, and often unfortunate characters exist. He is drawn to outsider artistic styles and naive art in broader terms.
