The minute the snow melts and the air shifts, I feel it—spring is whispering, “It’s time.” This painting is about that burst of energy I get when I head to the nursery, cart already half full, dreaming of colorful annuals and overflowing flowerbeds.

Gardening Adventure is messy in the best way—just like real planting days. A little dirt under the nails, splashes of unexpected color, and that feeling of pure joy when you imagine… what could bloom. Each brushstroke is like a petal or a handful of soil, layered with excitement, hope, and sunshine.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
