It isn’t about reacting or resisting. It’s about slowing down, feeling the weight of the moment, and choosing to stay present anyway. The layers settle, the movement softens, and what remains is… a sense of calm — something solid to return to.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
