About this artwork

That day, we went for a walk on a gorgeous cold fall afternoon. The wind was strong, but the light was so beautiful — it felt alive. “Randonnée” was born from that feeling of freedom and freshness, where every step connected me to the colours of nature.

I painted it with many layers of my own blended colours — soft pinks, ochres, greens, and creams — allowing each one to find its place like leaves swirling in the wind. I added small drawn marks… and delicate touches of oil pastel to bring that sense of movement and memory to life.

This piece is about walking, breathing, and letting nature remind us how beautiful simplicity can be.

This painting includes oil pastel and oil touches that are still drying. It will be ready to ship by the end of November once fully cured and safe for packaging.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
