Solidarity
This painting is about the strength we find when we stand together. Each figure carries its own color, its own story, yet side by side they create something greater than themselves. The brushstrokes are bold and alive, moving as one while still allowing each individuality to shine.
For me, “Solidarity” is about unity in diversity—the beauty of walking in the same direction, even when our paths are different. It is about hope, resilience,… and the quiet comfort of knowing we are not alone.
On this canvas, I wanted to capture the power of human connection—the kind that lifts us up, even in silence.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
