About this artwork
When you look at this abstract painting, I invite you to slow down and let go of logic. I paint emotions rather than objects, allowing shapes, colors, and movement to speak freely. A sudden flash of red might become a red dress walking through the city, or it might awaken a memory, a feeling, or a moment that belongs only to you.
I created this painting to be a space where imagination, memory, and emotion meet. There is no single story to follow… — only what you feel when you look at it. My intention was to let each viewer connect in their own way, to recognize something personal, and to fall in love with the painting because it reflects a part of their own story.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
