When I finished this piece, I felt something shift inside me. It was like the wind itself had passed through my hands, stirring color, memory, and emotion all at once.
Windy Day is a storm of feeling—movement, chaos, beauty, and calm, all swirling together in a dance that feels bigger than me. The brushstrokes came fast, the colors collided, and suddenly, it felt like I had painted the sky letting go.
Sometimes, a painting takes you somewhere… you didn’t expect. This one did. And maybe it will for you too.

Marie Manon Corbeil began to paint amidst personal challenges:‘Between sadness and hope, there was art’. Realizing that life’s difficulties provided her with a new means of expression, Corbeil wants to convey a sense of joy within her contemporary abstract works. She draws forms and writes positive words under each canvas before beginning a piece. Employing large brushes to provoke unplanned strokes, she also uses her fingers to optimize the vibrant colors in her compositions.
