About this artwork
In Urban Metropolis, I explore the tension between the rigid structures of the city and the unstoppable force of nature reclaiming its space. Inspired by the way greenery finds its way through cracks in concrete, this painting represents the resilience of the natural world amid urban expansion.
The composition reflects an abstract cityscape—chaotic yet alive—where nature weaves itself back into the urban fabric. Bold strokes of deep reds, blues,… and yellows emerge from a subdued, ethereal background, symbolizing life pushing through the built environment. The dripping elements suggest a city in flux, where structures begin to dissolve, making way for organic renewal.
I wanted this piece to breathe between the chaos, allowing space for reflection. It’s a vision of transformation—where cities are no longer separate from nature, but intertwined with it.
