About this artwork
Before the Applause is an original oil painting that captures a quiet, intimate moment shared between three ballerinas just before stepping onto the stage. Painted with high-quality oil paint on a solid wooden panel, the work balances elegance with stillness, focusing on reflection rather than performance.
Soft whites and subtle skin tones emerge from a dark, atmospheric background, emphasizing the fragile beauty of the dancers and the tension of… anticipation. The expressive brushwork and layered oil paint give the piece depth and warmth, while the composition draws the viewer into this private, contemplative scene.
This artwork is signed by the artist, completely one of a kind, and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The painting is unframed, allowing the substantial 5 cm depth of the wooden panel to stand on its own as a contemporary object.
