About this artwork
“Claim 150” is a work that arose from an inner impulse – almost like a colorful echo of what occupied me at that time. With this painting, I wanted to create a feeling of fullness and vibrancy without depicting a specific scene.
The vibrant colors – applied sometimes in impulsive, sometimes in flowing strokes – represent intensity and that which cannot be put into words. I am always interested in the balance between chaos and order, between density… and openness.
While painting, I let myself drift, almost as if the image itself dictated the rhythm. For me, "Claim 150" embodies a kind of energetic surplus – a visual firework display that doesn't strive to be loud, but rather powerful.
I hope the image cannot be immediately categorized – but remains in motion, also in the eyes of the viewers.
