About this artwork
In Claim 173, I work with a highly condensed, almost pulsating color structure. The smaller format of 60 × 80 cm allows me to concentrate energy in a confined space and create an intense, compact visual effect.
Warm reds and oranges dominate the upper area, while cooler blues and greens spread below. For me, this creates a tension between heat and depth, between density and openness. The paint is sprayed, layered, and partially allowed to flow… freely, so that spontaneous marks overlap with deliberate interventions.
I understand this work as an organic pictorial space in which countless small movements combine to form a vibrant whole. Up close, a multitude of fine details and layers of color become apparent; from a distance, the composition appears as a living, self-contained energy field.
