About this artwork
In Claim 163, I work with a warm, vibrant color palette that unfolds across the canvas in vertical movements. The 100 × 120 cm format allows me to create an open pictorial space that is both intense and atmospheric.
Yellow, orange, and red tones overlap in multiple layers, forming a dense, vibrant structure. I allow the paint to flow, drip, and interact with one another. I am particularly interested in how organic forms develop without my complete… control. Conscious interventions and spontaneous processes intertwine.
In the lower area, the layers of color become more dense, while a lighter, translucent zone opens up towards the top. For me, this creates a kind of abstract horizon – not a concrete motif, but a feeling of warmth, depth, and expansiveness.
