About this artwork
In my work "Claim 88," I wanted to create a feeling of lightness and inner spaciousness—a luminous, almost shimmering field of light, color, and movement. The dominant yellow acts like a sun-drenched soundscape, interwoven with delicate accents of blue, pink, turquoise, and soft lilac. This color harmony arises from countless layers of precisely placed drops of paint, which coalesce into a vibrant whole.
I am interested in the boundary between… abstraction and memory: some viewers see an abstracted flower meadow in "Claim 88," others sense pure energy or light. For me, it is a kind of atmospheric field—a place that offers visual tranquility but simultaneously remains in constant motion.
As with many of my works, the composition arises intuitively. I let myself be guided by color, rhythm, and density until the image finds its own balance – a quiet vitality that invites one to lose oneself in it.
