About this artwork
"AMARSI SULLA SEDIA BIANCA" (Making Love on the White Chair) is the title of this collage. The dark background isolates the centrally mounted collage, drawing the eye to the densely packed central form and the chair, on which fragmented, intertwined bodies of several people are visible. Legs, shoes, and fabrics intertwine so closely that the boundaries between individuals blur. This lack of clear separation expresses closeness and intimacy. The bodies…
do not form a hierarchical structure, but rather an equal, circling connection. The motif of the chair loses its function as a stable support and becomes part of a shared, almost floating network—as if the three-way relationship itself is the supporting foundation. Three perspectives, three spaces, three fragments of bodies are assembled into a new unity. Love here appears not as a linear, two-person relationship, but as a complex, multifaceted web of relationships.
