About this artwork
In this painting, I sought to capture a quiet, contemplative moment between man and nature. The scene shows a lobsterman aboard his boat, deeply engrossed in his thoughts, unaware of the seagulls perched nearby. The seagulls are watchful and waiting for a handout. They are the sentinels in this painting. Through gentle brushstrokes and a subtle palette, I aimed to evoke a sense of tranquility and coexistence.
