About this artwork
"Snacktime" is a whimsical watercolor of M & Ms spilling out of a torn package. It reminded me of a cornucopia or horn of plenty. I was attracted by all the colors of the M & Ms and how their shadows took on the colors of each individual piece of candy. I also liked all the curves, torn edges, and folds of the candy wrapper, and how light diffused in through the translucent areas of the wrapper to illuminate the M & Ms on the inside. There was…
