This work, which is part of the Ithaca series, is worked in shadows and light, with no other color than gray and white, using in turn brush, paintbrush and knife in order to alternate smooth backgrounds and impression of reliefs.
It is a dive into abstraction and raw energy. A journey between shadow and light, between peace and turbulence, openness and confinement, between shivers and serenity where the eye constantly passes from one zone to another,… alternately lost and then reassured.

Michel Saint-Luc is a French painter who has exhibited in Spain, Germany, and France. Having been born and lived close to water his entire life, Saint-Luc's works reflect his passion for seascapes.
