About this artwork
In this work, I present a woman who, despite her apparent indifference to her surroundings, is completely integrated into them. Her presence does not go unnoticed: she is a charismatic figure whose subtle energy transforms the space without needing to claim it.
She doesn't seek to belong or fit in; she simply is. And in that authenticity—in that way of inhabiting the world through difference—lies her strength. Her distance doesn't isolate her,… but rather makes her even more visible, almost magnetic. She's the kind of woman whose mere presence marks a place.
The works in this series are composed of two layers: an oil-on-canvas base and a second layer of transparent Plexiglas interspersed with strokes of black oil. This technique creates a subtle visual tension between depth and surface, reinforcing the complexity of their ambiguous yet powerful identity.
