About this artwork
The queen is a character in the Forbidden City, full of mystery.
In this work, I created freehand, according to my imagination, motifs of flowers, insects, arabesques with raised outlines, inspired by both Matisse the painter and Asian art.
The Queen is wearing Chinese peonies.
Pearls adorn his hat.
I wanted to create a vibrant composition, imbued with mystery and grace. Inspired by oriental and figurative art, I express a deep emotion through… the intense gaze and posture of the figure, wrapped in a richly decorated kimono. Every detail, from the flowers to the patterns of the garment, evokes a story, offering your interior an atmosphere of beauty and serene contemplation.
