Polaris Aurora II is the second of three works from the "Polaris Aurora" series. The title is reminiscent of the more Scandinavian areas of our northern hemisphere where we find the popular Northern Lights.
Even if cold colors awaken the perception of snow, ice and fog, the gold (impact metal) carries warmth into it. The whole painting focuses on something really precious. Moving light brings the whole scene to life in this section and with the… accompanying three-dimensional effects (excited by texture, tissue paper and textured paste). The minimalist use of saturated color tends to slow the viewer's eye, and soothes it by leading them into a state of calm.
