This photo is part of my SPLEEN and IDEAL series.
I wanted to retrace the poet's initiatory journey through the masterful work of Charles Baudelaire and his collection Les Fleurs du Mal.
Focus on a scene from ordinary life, photo in reference to the eponymous poem by Charles Baudelaire.
The poet's gaze falls on a place and the banal is transformed.
In this poem Baudelaire refers to the "Witch with the ebony… flank, child of the black midnights"...
The photographs that make up this series each bear the title of one of the poems in Les Fleurs du Mal.
