Istanbul, Türkiye - April 2025.
A wooden house, weathered by the seasons, overlooks the sloping street. In this patinated setting, a woman leans out of the window: a discreet smile, a suspended gesture, she becomes the soul of the neighborhood. Behind her, the minaret cuts into the sky, a peaceful verticality that marks the hours. Between the two, a tree casts its shadows on the walls, shifting lacework that stitches the present to the past. Wires,… antennas, and railings trace an intimate map: borders, connections, confidences. The black and white tightens the scene like a memory, erasing the superfluous to keep the light at the edge of the eyelids. The window is no longer a simple opening, but a miniature theater.
