About this artwork
In this work, I am not interested in the subject matter, but in the light itself – a moment when it condenses and becomes perceptible as an inner glow. Red and gold color fields flow into one another, dissolving any fixed form in favor of an open, breathing movement.
The starting point is a real photographic moment, which I deliberately dissolve through movement, blurring, and layering. This creates a pictorial space that is less visible than palpable… – a state between presence and disappearance.
I work with old analog lenses in conjunction with digital recording and processing. This combination allows me not to depict light, but to make it perceptible as an energetic event.
Inner Ember represents a moment of transition – a quiet, inner burning that is only hinted at in the image and at the same time fills the space.
