About this artwork
When Piccinelli was 5 years old, he saw a flock of flamingos at a zoo. This image, this color has wonderfully and lastingly imprinted his visual memory and constitutes an important element of his aesthetic.
Piccinelli… has not spent time in Japan but appreciates its minimal aesthetic culture. Strolling through the streets of Tokyo in spring is a dream that the artist expresses through this canvas.
Like a symphony, spring in Tokyo creates harmony between man and nature. The residents, who have waited patiently for this rebirth, feel joy in their hearts, a euphoria that spreads throughout the environment. Parks are becoming gathering places.

« My research takes the direction of "parasitic" minimalism. I claim the expression of a rigorous geometric structure endangered by the soft and hazardous trace of the brush. »
