About this artwork
Oil, encaustic and varnish on canvas. Jungle is a playful mixed media encaustic painting focusing on color and it´s ability to change. It´s imagery and forms are inspired by warm nights and breezes in the mediterranean, South of Spain, with parrots and birds flying in the warm summer skies. Building up the surface with a mix of encaustic paint, oil, spray paint and stencils, scraping and cutting away the layers with an etching tool and razor blade…
