Fragmented printed and painted papers are layered onto a wood panel, creating a richly textured surface of blues and warm beige. The collage is then cut into with a power tool, exposing the layers beneath and revealing traces of what came before. Through this process of constructing and deconstructing, the surface becomes tactile, vibrant, and alive.
Inspired by memories of tranquil places and summers spent beneath the hot Spanish sun, the work… explores the interplay of memory, place, and the passage of time.
