About this artwork
This original oil painting on canvas is a contemporary abstract floral with a Zen ensō circle holding three white roses. I painted the dark ring like a quiet vessel—something simple and steady—then let the colour breathe around it in turquoise, violet and soft rose, like light moving through mist.
The petals are done slowly, with a classical touch, because I wanted them to feel real and tender. But I also wanted the painting to stay alive, so I… allowed the magenta drips and blurred edges to happen. That’s the point for me: control and surrender on the same surface, the timeless and the fleeting in one place.
