About this artwork
An Irish landscape with an ancient graveyard or burial mound with an Celtic cross that gives the country something mysterious. The Irish landscape is famous for its green outlook and that is the main colour of the painting. The landscape breathes the tranquility of the country.
The 1st additional photo shows the painting, framed in a black wooden frame, which fits very well with the black lines used in many of his paintings.
The 2nd, 3rd, 4th and… 5th additional photos show the (simplified) landscape, the Celtic Cross, and a detail of the graveyard. The 5th also shows the signature of the artist: The 5th also shows the signature of the artist: 'PK', plus a small simplified horse. 'PK' are the initials of the artist, Peter Koelman. But 'PK' also means 'paardenkracht', Dutch for horsepower. 'That is the reason for the small horse added to the 'PK'.
The last two photos show the backside of the artwork.
