About this artwork

It has something dreamlike, almost a landscape glimpsed through memory or a dream. The shapes seem to suggest trees, foliage, perhaps a forest under the moonlight or in a storm, but you leave a lot of room for interpretation.

Pietro Daresta is an experienced artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, in France, the United Arab Emirates, and Monaco. His works explore the themes of humanity and its frailties, the passage of time, and the observation of the universe, where everything is destined to change. In Daresta's most recent compositions, he has developed a more personal artisitc approach, moving from the sphere of minimalism and the conceptual towards the informal.
