About this artwork
I have created this work with an intense passion for capturing the duality and rupture within our realities. With resin and pigments, I have captured a realism that challenges while inviting reflection. The symbolic use of lines represents the fractures in our environment, evoking a powerful emotional resonance and an energy that transmits urgency and contemplation to any space.
This is my second work inspired by Lake Hillier, located on Middle… Island, Western Australia.
Lake Hillier is a lake saturated with salt, which acquires its pink color due to bacteria that need these salinity conditions to live.
In this work the contrast between the natural and the artificial quantitatively increases the beauty of the lake and the beauty of the engineering work, which in this way is presented to us in its purest and most beautiful forms.

Pin Vega is an award-winning painter, sculptor and photographer whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Germany, Portugal, Belgium as well as in his native Spain. His Pictosculptures, as he calls them, are found in different collections around the world and have created a trend. His art brings to life the 'invisible forces of Mother Nature', using natural elements to produce a 'new natural reality'.
Pin Vega makes and carves the supports and frames for his own paintings. He also makes his own paints by agglutinating top-quality pigments with water or different types of resins and incorporates mineral elements and scaled figures to oversize his work and make us, the viewers, feel like we are contemplating it like a God contemplating his creation from above.
