This work is a fusion of technique and emotion. I used pigment acrylics and resins to capture the majesty of nature, framed by rich textures and vibrant colors.
The Yellowstone Caldera, imposing and powerful, embodies the perpetual cycle of life and death on Earth. From its apparent calm on the surface to the raging magma at its core, it represents the duality between creation and destruction. Over the centuries, it has seen catastrophic eruptions… that level entire landscapes, but it has also led to a rebirth, providing nutrients and opportunities for life. In this challenging environment, plants and animals have learned to adapt, demonstrating the persistence of life in the face of adversity and reminding us of the fragility and resilience of nature in its eternal struggle between death and rebirth.

Pin Vega is an award-winning painter, sculptor and photographer whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Germany, Portugal, Belgium as well as in his native Spain. His Pictosculptures, as he calls them, are found in different collections around the world and have created a trend. His art brings to life the 'invisible forces of Mother Nature', using natural elements to produce a 'new natural reality'.
Pin Vega makes and carves the supports and frames for his own paintings. He also makes his own paints by agglutinating top-quality pigments with water or different types of resins and incorporates mineral elements and scaled figures to oversize his work and make us, the viewers, feel like we are contemplating it like a God contemplating his creation from above.
