About this artwork
The work is inspired by Ayn Rand's novel "The Fountainhead." Ayn Rand's novel perfectly catalyzes my adoration for nature first and for architecture and the other arts second, reinforcing my artistic and ideological beliefs. I also wanted to capture in this work the attraction I feel for dams, structures that have been present in my life since my earliest childhood and that, unwittingly,… have ultimately influenced my artistic work.
The work flows water through one of its three spillways and consists of a small pump and a water tank inside that is connected to the water supply. This is a bold and daring piece created for the brave.

« If one thing is clear to me in those moments, it is that creation responds to my life, and my life responds to creation. »
Pin Vega makes and carves the supports and frames for his own paintings. He also makes his own paints by agglutinating top-quality pigments with water or different types of resins and incorporates mineral elements and scaled figures to oversize his work and make us, the viewers, feel like we are contemplating it like a God contemplating his creation from above.
