About this artwork
I have created this sculpture carved from red Quebracho wood, one of the hardest woods in the world, to highlight my passion for music. The coldness of cast iron contrasts with the warmth and sensuality of wood, whose reddish color and shiny surface remind us of an elegant string instrument.
The internal area of the piece, yellow, symbolizes the germ of life that is protected like a great treasure by external layers of great hardness to preserve… its great secret, the secret of inspiration, "the muse" of the artist.
The stylized shape of the piece brings a dynamic and elegant energy to any space, inviting reflection and contemplation.

Pin Vega is an award-winning painter, sculptor and photographer whose works have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Germany, Portugal, Belgium as well as in his native Spain. His Pictosculptures, as he calls them, are found in different collections around the world and have created a trend. His art brings to life the 'invisible forces of Mother Nature', using natural elements to produce a 'new natural reality'.
Pin Vega makes and carves the supports and frames for his own paintings. He also makes his own paints by agglutinating top-quality pigments with water or different types of resins and incorporates mineral elements and scaled figures to oversize his work and make us, the viewers, feel like we are contemplating it like a God contemplating his creation from above.
