About this artwork
The name of this art project refers to the title of Ayn Rand's novel, The Fountainhead.
This monolith, with its stony appearance and brutalist inspiration, which flows with water and drains into a natural pond or a triangular pedestal, perfectly catalyzes the admiration I feel for Nature and reinforces my artistic and ideological criteria.
The monolith's triangular prism shape alludes to sacred geometry, the discipline that studies the geometric… forms and patterns found in nature and in human-made structures. These figures are considered sacred due to their symmetry and perfect proportions and are present in the structure of crystals and in the forms of plants and animals.
This sculpture operates with a small electric water pump hidden in a concealed reservoir located inside the pedestal, or it can also be hidden inside a pond.
