What interests me about this situation is the shift in perception: the focus is no longer on the body itself, but on its representation. Decisions are made based on images that guide the intervention.…
The title "Navigation" refers to this form of orientation. The surgeon does not move freely in space, but within a precisely defined system of imaging, technology, and experience.
My work here does not depict the intervention itself, but rather the way in which it is controlled. A tension arises between direct action and mediated perception, between physical reality and its technological representation.
