About this artwork
This is a photograph taken in Iceland. In this version, the photograph is laminated on a wooden support and the red/purple band stands out in volume compared to the rest of the photograph.
This seemingly intact landscape is affected by a phenomenon that is now perceptible but difficult to see: global warming. I therefore wanted to make this phenomenon visible by representing it with a part of the landscape passed through a red/violet digital filter,… a color code corresponding to heat. This strip is the same size as the entire series to emphasize the universality of the phenomenon. If this strip is in volume compared to the rest of the photograph, it is in order to create a relief, to create a projection, and thus represent the landscape as it could be in the future. Depending on the orientation of the light, the strip will create a shadow on part of the landscape.
