In the footsteps of Jack Kerouac
Through this journey, the artist immerses himself in the atmosphere of the city and its inhabitants in order to discover how San Francisco was one of the high places of this new culture born in the early 1960s: the "Beat Generation", an artistic and literary movement that continues to shine today and influence our way of thinking. These images lead us to discover the different neighborhoods of the city. A deliberate… dive into the heart of the city where a certain balance seems to reign that the artist tends to transcribe in this series.
From a photograph taken in situ, she treats the raw materials that she breaks down into several layers. The techniques she generally uses are collage, engraving and painting (acrylic). In this series, she favors digital painting as the main medium, which she considers a tool in its own right.
