About this artwork
Cluster of pond Cypress trees in the Florida Everglades National Park. A cluster like this is called a Cypress Head and is caused by an indentation in the ground that fills up with water. This water causes the Cypress trees to grow larger than the surrounding trees. Hence the name. Sometimes this indentations are dug out by alligators.

I love working with one of my vintage cameras. My cameras range in age from 85 to 45 years old and in film formats from 2 1/4 × 2 1/4 inch to 8 × 10 inch. I also love working with alternative processes, such as pinhole photography. Somebody said once about one of my pinhole Everglades images that the image Really conveys that Everglades look! That was one of the nicest comments I have ever received. Is that not what photographers are going for? That moment that the subject, the viewer, and the photographer all become one?
Over the years, I had several solo and shared shows in The Netherlands and West Palm Beach, FL. Currently, I have work in a permanent gallery inside the Gaylord Hotels and Resorts in Orlando. FL., other nationwide ventures, and private collectors. I am an active board member of the Homestead Center of the Arts.
