About this artwork
In my work, I combine flat oil paints with various pen types such as pencil, felt-tip pen, oil pastel, and graphite to create an abstract landscape of rhythm and color. Using deep cobalt violet and bright blue, I explore the dynamics of movement and energy. The oscillating, interlocking webs of lines symbolize flow and connection, inspired by the infinite variety of emotions and relationships. It invites the viewer to lose themselves in the depth… of the colors while simultaneously experiencing the harmony and balance in the interplay of the elements.
This painting is intended to reflect the dynamic harmony and power of color in every room it hangs in. When viewed, the ebb and flow of existence with its diverse relationships is intended to stimulate the mind as a visual, sensory perception.
Rupert Bronner, an architect by training, is a gifted painter, draftsman, and photographer whose artistic focus is on the transition between architecture and fine art. With intuitive freedom and a risky balancing act, he employs bold color choices and material qualities, using his drawings as a guide for his hauntingly abstract oil and acrylic works. His art is a thrilling journey of discovery and a communication of his inner stance, conveying an exhilarating sense of liberation from the constraints of reality.
