About this artwork
A block of wood is pressed into a thick layer of pasty oil paint at regular intervals, offset by the size of the block, and then gently removed. This process does not produce a uniform, regular result; rather, each impression is unique. This creates architecture consisting of a three-dimensional surface structure.
