About this artwork
In this work I have wanted to depict the peaceful light of dawn. My focus was on the sky and I worked with bright tones of yellow and pink. The tall trees stand as silent symbols, while the lone bird calmly awaits what the day will bring.
I have worked with oil paint, which is actually my preferred medium.
In the sky I exploit the special qualities of oil by mixing the colors directly on the canvas and not on the palette.
