About this artwork
I approach this work as a space of waiting, a suspended time without promise of resolution. The image is articulated through vertical planes that allude to an uninhabited and contained urban architecture.
A horizontal stripe bursts forth like a stationary signal. The red neither activates movement nor indicates direction; it remains fixed, creating tension in the space. It functions as a cut, a threshold that is not to be crossed, a minimal gesture… that focuses attention and blocks visual continuity.
In The Wait, emptiness is not total absence, but a place charged with tension and latency. The work proposes an experience of conscious immobility, where the viewer confronts a time that no longer moves forward, an urban space that retains its symbolic and emotional weight.
The works are printed on 310 g Museum RAG Photo Etching paper, 100% cotton, acid-free and free of optical brighteners. Each piece is hand-signed and numbered and comes with its certificate of authenticity.

Salva Nebot (Spain) is a multidisciplinary artist whose work has been exhibited in international institutions, galleries, and art fairs.
