About this artwork
Another group of works is my large-format typefaces, in which I repeat a succinctly formulated sentence—a kind of wisdom—in precise detail with ink on graph paper through seemingly endless, steady writing, condensing it into a delicate, graphic image. The letters are arranged precisely one below the other, creating a textile structure, underscored by color-contrasting patterns. From a distance, these typefaces appear like purely decorative fabrics…
or tapestries, and reading them initially takes a secondary role. Only upon closer inspection does the content's intention become apparent. "We Will See" offers a hopeful and questioning look into the future.
