About this artwork
The massive, colorful shapes occupy the entire canvas with an overwhelming presence. The figures, although stylized, seem elevated to the dimension of icons, dominating their space.
Here, my intention is to question monumentality itself: what impresses, what dominates, what exceeds the human scale. The work celebrates formal power, while suggesting the fragility of the individual in the face of the constructions he erects.
