About this artwork
Developing my one-line work further: The line leaves the canvas and becomes aluminum wire – raw, unruly, yet precisely malleable. I shape it at the pace of my hand, allowing chance and the subconscious to play a part. The aluminum supports the structure; tin, formed from solder wire, lies over it like a skin. The mix of materials – matte aluminum and the denser, slightly glossy tin surface – reflects the light differently and enhances the spatial…
effect. Mounted on the wall, the light casts a second version of the face as a fleeting shadow in the room. Tempus fugit – time slips away, the image remains in motion.
