About this artwork
I preferred to use a knife and a wide brush to create this relief.
The superimposition of cool (sky) and warm (earth/trunk) colors is not there by chance: it serves to accentuate the vibration of the olive tree, making it almost come alive before the eyes of the viewer.
Look at its trunk: I didn't just put brown on it, I injected purple, red and violet. I wanted you to feel the sap flowing, this almost animal energy that allows it to survive through… the centuries.
