"With 'Purple Mist', I wanted to capture the moment when the landscape tips into the unreal.
In this small format, each knife stroke is an intention, a vibration of color that seeks to break the boundary between earth and sky.
Purple here is not simply a color; it's an emotion that descends upon the hamlet, transforming the red rooftops into bursts of dying light. I worked with the material to convey the thickness of the air, this colored mist… that unifies the world and makes everyday life poetic. It's a work that doesn't tell a story, but seeks to evoke the vibrant silence of a twilight unlike any other.
