About this artwork
I use the painting knife to apply generous layers of paint, because I like the light not only to be seen, but to be physically felt through the texture of the paint.
My gesture is instinctive: I seek the balance between the strength of the ochres on the ground and the mysterious softness of this mauve sky.
Through this work, I invite you to travel along this imaginary path, where colors ignite and each touch of paint becomes a fragment of pure… emotion.
This is my vision of a wild, powerful and free nature, which I wish to share with you.
Sergiu RUSU, a painter of Moldovan origin, works mainly in oil and draws inspiration from his travels across Europe. His preferred technique – thick layers applied with a knife or a large brush – elevates reality in a vibrant impressionistic style. where saturated colors and dynamic textures infuse energy and movement.
