Books are the oldest form of media, are made of paper, and are the most familiar and unique in that they are one-way. In this work, I expressed the uniqueness of "books."
In creating this digital piece, I delved into vintage and fine art styles to craft a fascinating narrative that encapsulates an ancient book. Books are the world's oldest information medium and yet remain uniquely enduring today. I envisioned this piece as a bridge between the old… and the new, reflecting the timeless nature of knowledge and the evolution of its digital representation. The overlapping textures and contrasting shadows evoke a sense of mystery and discovery, inviting viewers to ponder the hidden stories and wisdom embedded within its pages. The piece will bring a contemplative and intellectually stimulating energy to any space, stimulating the imagination and historical intrigue.
大村正一 Shoichi Omura Among artists, the artist who had the greatest influence on him was the sculptor Alberto Giacometti. He was inspired by his approach as an artist, which was to set himself the mission of depicting reality as it is, and to create through constant pursuit and exploration. He primarily works with acrylic and oil paints, as well as Japanese mineral pigments, and his background lies in his Japanese origins. He intricately blends his personal imaginations with photography, creating multi-layered, hybrid compositions on canvas through his only method. Omura endeavors to ‘restore the power of painting’, presenting a sense of modern reality in his pieces, with a distinct focus on his interest .
