Inspired by the endangered Yellow Cardinal, this painting places the bird centre stage of the composition. The roses on the left serve as a reminder of life’s fragility and fleeting nature, while the title, ‘Everglow,’ suggests a sense of immortality achieved through art. The cardinal’s vivid yellow plumage appears to glow, acting as a source of light within the scene, complemented by a street lamp on the right that further illuminates the composition.…
Using a combination of oil and spray paint, I gradually built up the canvas surface, seeking a balance between intricate details and expressive, gestural brushwork.
